Great product
Works well, easy to install and well made. Great price.
Works well, easy to install and well made. Great price.
This 16-inch replacement bar fit my Stihl MS170 perfectly. Installation was quick, and the chain alignment was spot on. I've used it to cut through several hardwood logs, and it's performing great smooth cuts, no binding, and it stays cool with proper oiling. The build quality feels solid, and it looks and performs just like the original Stihl bar at a much better price. Highly recommend for anyone needing a reliable replacement!
These 16-inch chainsaw chains works perfectly on my Milwaukee chainsaw. This chain fit my new bar. The low-profile design cuts smoothly and efficiently, and the .050" gauge feels solid and durable. Having three chains in the pack is convenient for long projects or keeping spares on hand. Installation was straightforward, and the chains held up well through multiple uses. Excellent value and quality.
Very good quality bar for my chainsaw. This one is 16 ,3/8 LP. I ordered it for my Stihl MS210 chainsaw. The roller at the end operates smoothly and the bar is put together nicely. Looks like a very high quality product.
Seller shipped almost immediately, even though it took longer than expected for item to arrive due to delay on carrier side.
As a 60-year-old retiree from Michigan who's been keeping my rural property tidy for decades, from clearing storm-felled branches to cutting firewood for winter, a good chainsaw chain is essential. This 3-pack of 8 Inch Chainsaw Chains (3/8" LP Pitch, .050" Gauge, 33 Drive Links) for my Craftsman and Ryobi mini saws has been a fantastic addition, and I'm genuinely impressed with their sharpness and durability.
These S33 chains fit my 8-inch saws perfectly, snapping onto the bar with no adjustments needed a big win for an old-timer like me who values parts that work right out of the box. Installation took less than 10 minutes per chain, and they cut through oak and maple like butter, making quick work of pruning my apple trees and splitting logs for the fire pit. The low-kickback design is a game-changer; it gives me confidence to tackle dense wood without worrying about jolts, which is crucial at my age when steady hands aren't a given.
The chains have held up through Michigan's wet spring conditions and dry, dusty fall days, staying sharp after hours of cutting through tough, sappy branches. I've used them on my Ryobi for trail clearing near Lake Michigan and on my Craftsman for firewood prep, and they've shown no signs of dulling or stretching, even with the gritty soil we get up here. The 3-pack is a great value, giving me spares to keep in the shed so I'm never caught short during a big cleanup.
For the price, these chains are a steal, offering pro-level performance that rivals pricier brands. They've made my yard work faster and safer, letting me spend more time enjoying a cold one by the fire rather than wrestling with dull blades. I've already recommended them to my VFW buddies who handle their own tree work. If you're a Michigander with an 8-inch saw looking for reliable, low-kickback chains, this 3-pack is a winner. Highly recommend!
I ordered this 3 piece cutting chain set for my Makita 16" electric corded chainsaw. It uses 16" chain 3/8" LP pitch .050" gauge with 56 drive links. The chains come in sealed bags to prevent rust and are lightly oiled. The cutters are nice and sharp and will hopefully stay that way. I didn't find any binding links and the chain cuts great. After putting on a new chain, make sure to check the slack as they will stretch some when new. Make sure you oil feeder is keeping the chain lubed as heat is the enemy of a sharp flexible chain. These work as good as any other name brand I have used. The description says they are made of German Steel and the cutters resists wear due to their manufacturing process.
These chains fit my 20-inch chainsaw perfectly, no adjustment issues at all. I've already used them to cut through a large tree trunk, and they performed really well. The chains are sharp, durable, and maintain tension nicely during use. I also appreciate that they come pre-oiled for protection against rust.
For the price, getting three chains of this quality is an excellent deal. The build feels solid, and cutting is smooth and efficient. Highly recommend for anyone needing reliable replacement chains, these are well-made and work exactly as advertised!
I've been clearing the back half-acre of my property for the better part of this past summer (and part of the summer before that). And as much as I hate to admit it, I've still got a ways to go. Between dozens of young and old Ash trees that have now died off, a handful of young Maples, and ton of woody brush that was seemingly just left to grow however it wanted, there is just a lot to cut out. And there are still a bunch of healthy trees in there that I want to save, if possible. Since that requires more precise tree-felling, the quotes were in the 10s of thousands to have it cleared professionally... But I'm a DIYer at heart (and don't have 10s of thousands of dollars I can just easily part with), so it has been about a year now of learning how to be a DIY lumberjack, and that has meant I've been using and dulling my chainsaw blades pretty quickly with all the hard woods I've been chopping up. Now, I have a sharpening kit, and in the beginning I was resigned to sharpen the blades myself to save a bit more money. But that was pretty tedious so then I decided I'd have them all sharpened at a shop before the start of this current cutting season. I should've checked the price before I went it, because with them charging $9 per chain for sharpening, I quickly abandoned the idea of having them done professionally every year. And I decided to start checking here, on Amazon, for compatible chains... and this is going to put the chain-sharpening service right out of business!
I picked up this three-pack of EXSHP chains to pair with the 18" Echo CS-400 I'm currently borrowing. But as it turns out, the CS-400 takes the same size chain as my 18" Craftsman 316.380180 (it had been out of commission until I recently replaced the oil pump and carb). So, I got a chance to fit the chain on both and am happy to report that it is indeed compatible with the 18" bars on both of those chainsaw models. I fired up the CS-400 (because I'm planning to get rid of the Craftsman) and started cutting through a dense section of an Ash trunk like it was a soft wood! So, the teeth come plenty sharp and it functions just fine on the CS-400.
As for durability, I can't really say for sure. That's ultimately going to vary for everyone depending on what you cut, how you cut, and what you're using to cut it. Because I'm working almost exclusively with hard woods, my chains all dull faster and it doesn't matter if I'm using a stock chain (i.e. Echo or Craftsman), or a well known aftermarket brand (e.g. Oregon), or one of these online-only brands. They all cut fine when they're fresh, and they all eventually dull. The only real difference I've noted among all the chains I've tested at this point is that despite matching the gauge and pitch specs for my saws, some of the chains do feel "thinner" and those have been more inclined to kink and seize up on themselves if I don't run the oiler fully open. So, I run it open just as a rule these days because it's easier to get more oil and it's harder to fix a chain that has jammed its teeth together without accidentally cutting myself in the process.
Value is the real winner here, because like I said the local store was charging $9 just to sharpen my existing chains. But this 3-pack was listed for only $33.99 when I ordered it, so for only a few bucks more I was able to get use of 3 brand new chains immediately instead of having to wait a week for the store to sharpen older ones. At the end of this project I'm probably going to have 2+ dozen chains that I can spend the winter months hand sharpening... won't that be fun...
Anyhow, if you have an Echo CS-400 or a Craftsman 316.380180, this EXSHP 18 Inch Chainsaw Chain 3/8" LP Pitch .050" Gauge 62 DL 3-pack should work for you and may be easier (and almost the same price) as getting your chains sharpened.
Just received, but they look good
Not too much to tell you about this. They are saw chains. I examined them as much as I am able to. They are individually packed in plastic bags, seem to be good quality and sharp. They're 12 inch chains. They should fit the same as any other 12 inch chain and have the standard fit like all chains so should have a normal ease of installation. The sharpness I saw should give good cutting power.
