It works just fine with the chains I already had from county line from tractor supply.

I purchased this as a spare for an older Craftsman chainsaw that I keep on the farm. This was a perfect fit, and it functions exactly as the OEM bar. The bar just has a high-quality look and feel, it weighs in at 568 grams. I love that it has all the specifications etched right in the bar, just like my expensive European chainsaw. For $26 (as of OCT 25), this is a good value and worth having on hand to have a spare. As a weekend warrior, it sure puts a damper on things when you have something break and it is a 90-minute round trip to the store....just so I can pay more. You might go the life of the saw with the original bar, but that has not been my luck. Got a bar pinched and ended up bending it trying to remove it from the tree. That put an end to my cutting that day. I try to keep a spare bar and a couple sharp chains, just in case. I do not have much time on this bar yet, so I cannot comment on the durability at this time, but I have no reservations about it lasting a very long time.
